I bought this as a noise machine to stay in my baby's room, as we took the other one out and about with us and I kept forgetting to put it back in her bedroom at night time. It's a great little machine. Lots of flexibility and control over which sound, volume, and duration you want. I like that it has a few different options for a constant noise, because I often find 'white noise' quite harsh. It comes with a hoop so you can hang it, and a shoelace type thing so you can tie it somewhere. The battery life is great. We've had it on constantly for a few nights and it's still going strong (and that was from straight out of the box so it might not even have been fully charged). It's small enough that it is easily portable if you wanted it for out and about or for travel. The one thing it doesn't have that our other sound machine does is a noise detector, which re-triggers the machine if baby starts crying or fussing. There is a timer though so you can run it for 30, 60, 90 mins, or just on constant. All in all it's a great sound machine option for sleep or concentration.

Excellent!!!! We use 3, yes 3 of these in our house EVERY night! It keeps us, and the kids asleep, and work well to drown out any background noise, people going to the toilet, birds etc. we take them away with us and cannot fault them! The sound can be low, or very loud, and there is a variety of sounds. The only criticism we have is that when you put the sound to maximum there is a really annoying DING! When you reach its maximum volume, which can wake your partner or kids should you want to turn it up! - why??? If there was a roll out update Iโd love for it to not have that feature, but know itโs not that advanced. If there is an updated version of this device Iโd love to try it out and give feedback?!

Initially I bought a cheaper model white noise machine. I was basically satisfied with my purchase but wanted to see what more money could get me. I then purchased the Dreamegg to do a comparison. The cheaper model did have a few extra features that the Dreamegg didn't, there was a pause button and a night light. However the sound quality of the Dreamegg made me decide to return the cheaper model and keep the Dreamegg. The sound quality is amazing, it turned up a good deal louder than the cheaper model but not only was it louder it wasn't tinny and really filled the room with a peaceful sound which masked all other outside noise. I bought this machine to help me sleep through all the activity in our noisy household. Being pregnant I try and have an afternoon nap but it was just near impossible because of our noisy children, dog, husband etc! Now I put this machine next to my bed (love that it is portable!) and it drowns out all noise while I get a good restful sleep. I also plan to use it for when the baby is born, it will stop her from being disturbed by all the sudden noises in the house. There are a great selection of sounds to choose from, even lullabies which appeal to our older children, age 4 and 6. I put it on for them to settle at night, it works!! The battery life is superb. So far I have charged it once and have used it for 4 days. I only took a star off because a pause button would have been handy as would a night light BUT those are not majors!

I get tinnitus which can be disturbing when trying to get off to sleep. In the hot weather I put my fan on every night and I realised it helped me fall asleep and not get distracted by my tinnitus. Now it's getting colder and I no longer need the fan I decided to buy a white noise machine. I was attracted to this one because of the variety of sounds available and the good reviews. I also loved the colour options and choose the lilac one. I now intermingle the sounds on different nights depending on how I feel, but I only tend to use certain options which are the rain, ocean, white noise and one of the fan noises. The others don't appeal to me. It has a long charge capacity and plays for many nights without needing to recharge it, but I recharge once a week anyway. Not a bad price, but different colours and designs have different costs, however they all do the same thing! I recommend this little magic machine to sufferers of tinnitus because it does seem to actually counteract it, enabling falling asleep better. Especially if you're a light sleeper and sensitive to outside sounds. As an aside, one reviewer said she heard a creepy male voice on the rain setting. I haven't done personally, but being intrigued and curious I googled it to see if this can happen and read that "yes, some people report hearing voices, music, or other sounds in white noise, but it's typically a normal phenomenon called 'auditory pareidolia', where the brain misinterprets random noise as patterns. It's not usually a sign of psychosis or that the machine is faulty, but rather a result of the brain's strong ability to detect patterns, similar to seeing faces in clouds". Hopefully that will alleviate anyone's concerns.

I had another travel nose machine, and while I liked it, the battery life wasn't that great. My husband likes that the on/off switch on this model is very easy to access, and that there is a child lock button on the bottom of the unit, so that your settings don't get messed up by accident if other buttons get pressed. The sound is clear and there are lots of different sounds to choose from - we prefer the plain white noise. Battery life is really good, about 24-27 hrs before needing to be charged again. It's not super small, but it's compact enough to travel easily.

Love this portable sound machine! It is compact, fits easily in the diaper bag. The strings helped for me to tie it to the stroller or diaper bag as well. It has great sounds, you can also lock the sounds in the bag so the buttons can't get pressed. I havr had mind for a year and a half; recently bought one for a baby shower for a friend.
